Paul Merson agrees with two pundits on Man City vs Tottenham score prediction

Manchester City welcome injury-hit Tottenham to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a Premier League match that almost guarantees plenty of goals.

City are never strangers in finding the back of the net, while their north London opponents have also been given fresh attacking impetus this season with Ange Postecoglou at the helm. However, they are nursing injuries to key players right now and that has proven costly for them.

Tottenham - who have slipped to three straight Premier League defeats - remain in top-four contention despite those results and they are expected to try and go toe-to-toe with City on their own turf. Here's what the pundits are tipping to happen;

With the number of injuries Tottenham have, there's no way they're beating City. I'd be worried going into this if I were a Spurs fan. They might cause City a few problems on the break, but if they leave themselves open like they did in the last [Aston Villa] game, they will be in trouble.

I think if Tottenham were up to full strength, it would be game on. Spurs' problem is most of their side-lined stars are starters. That's very unfortunate. I think Ange Postecoglou is going to stick to his principles and that's going to cost him and his side dearly against City.

Score prediction: Man City 4-0 Tottenham

I'm expecting another really open game and Tottenham will create chances just like they did against Villa. If they had taken them, they would have been out of sight by half-time.
