Paris 2024: No luck for Daniel Coyle and Shane Sweetnam in individual final

There was no joy for Ireland's Daniel Coyle and Shane Sweetnam in the show jumping individual final, with the destination of the medals to be decided by a jump-off.

Coyle, riding Leagacy, produced a solid round of jumping until he knocked four obstacles on the run, and then decided to retire.

Cork's Sweetnam, partnering James Kaan Cruz incurred 12 faults in a time of 82.03.

The jump-off involves Switzerand's Martin Fuchs on Leone Jei; Maikel van der Vleuten on Beauville Z; and Steve Guerday partnering Dynamix De Belheme.
