Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider revealed that Spurs do have a longstanding interest in the Brazil international – who is believed to be valued at more than £50m – albeit with no deal set to take place any time soon.

Brown stated: “It’s certainly possible. Richarlison is someone that Tottenham have liked for a long time.

“People at the club play that one down and say that nothing is happening imminently, but everyone knows their interest has been there for a long time and is genuine.”

This follows a report from The Athletic which also suggested that the north London outfit are interested in a deal, with the 25-year-old said to be keen on leaving Goodison Park while remaining in the Premier League.

Any move for the former Watford man would likely be to help supplement the current first-choice pairing of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, ahead of a campaign that will see Antonio Conte’s side juggle domestic and European duties, all while attempting to be competitive in both.

The addition of the £43.2m-rated ace – who was signed by the Toffees in a £50m deal back in 2018 – would add increased competition and depth to the forward ranks in the short-term, although the hope will be that he can emerge as something of a figurehead for the Lilywhites in the years to come.

The £110k-per-week brute has already assumed the tole of “talisman” with his current side – according to journalist Adam Jones – having proven himself a reliable goalscoring threat over the last few seasons – bagging 53 goals and providing 14 assists in 152 games in all competitions on Merseyside.
