Paddy Kenny's brutal response to Man United icon Wayne Rooney's 'strange' Man City title claim

Former Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has responded to comments made by Wayne Rooney about Manchester City's dramatic Premier League title win in 2012.

Manchester United legend Rooney said that he found it 'strange' that nobody had questioned City's victory on the final day which ensured the Blues claimed their maiden Premier League crown. He said: "Paddy Kenny should have done better for a couple of the goals.

"City get the second goal and QPR kick it straight back to them and that's never been questioned - I find that strange. Djibril Cisse celebrating after the game with the City players, but yes, listen, it's a historic moment in the Premier League so I'm sure that, if you are not involved as a Manchester United player, that's probably one of the greatest moments in the league."

A statue commemorating Sergio Aguero's winning goal which sealed the title in stoppage time was unveiled outside the Etihad Stadium to mark the 10th anniversary of the game. QPR's goalkeeper that day, Kenny, has now taken to Twitter to send a brutal response to the former England captain.

In a tweet which included recent pictures of both Rooney and Kenny, he wrote: "36 v 44. Rooney must of let that Aguero goal get to him."
