Oxford and MK Dons players on Bristol City radar as Nigel Pearson eyes potential summer recruits

Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson is planning ahead for next season already, and has taken a look at players at both Oxford United and MK Dons, according to Bristol World.

The Robins have had a pretty average at best season in the Sky Bet Championship and find themselves rather going through the motions at this point of the year.

They’ll be hoping for a more exciting campaign where they look to challenge for the top six next season, then, and it appears as though Pearson is already planning ahead for the summer window.

As per the report from Bristol World, Pearson went to the recent game between Oxford United and MK Dons in Sky Bet League One, and watched a number of players that he might be interested in signing at Ashton Gate.

Both Oxford and MK Dons have had good seasons in League One but you feel at least one of them will miss out on promotion, and that could mean Championship clubs come calling.

One positive from having a season fizzling out is that you can get your summer plans in place earlier than those clubs that currently do not know what division they are going to be in.
