Overwatch 2: Leak Debunked Regarding Nintendo Switch Release

Overwatch 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to the massively popular Activision Blizzard-produced original game, and a new leak has indicated that the new title will not be released on Nintendo Switch.

The original game was a major hit across a multitude of platforms and turned the game into a world-renowned eSport. The new leak seemed to put any idea of Overwatch 2 coming to Nintendo Switch to rest, but this has now appears to have changed.

Well, it’s a bit of a confusing one.

The beta for the game is expected to be released shortly, giving the majority of fans their first taste of the game.

Blizzard’s website was reportedly updated earlier this week, and whilst the ‘new’ version of the site has already been taken down, players have noticed one major detail about the new Overwatch 2 listing before it was reverted back.

BattleNet, Xbox and PlayStation logos were all apparent and present in the listing (shared by Helba), but the Nintendo Switch was missing.

Thankfully, for gamers hoping to get the game on the Switch, it appears as though the game has now been added back to the listing for the game. 

Hopefully, this was just a one-off mistake and the game will still be making its way to the Switch after all.

We do already know that the game will be getting graphical tweaks for slightly less powerful systems, so we will potentially be getting a similar version of Overwatch 2 on the Nintendo Switch to what is being planned for mobile release.
