Liverpool are currently embroiled in a Premier League title battle but that hasn’t stopped plenty of work being done behind the scenes.

The Reds are working intently on bringing new players to Anfield ahead of the summer and according to sources, they are on the verge of sealing three signings.

According to Football Insider’s sources, Liverpool have agreed on a deal to sign Fulham attacker Fabio Carvalho, alongside Celtic teenager Ben Doak and Derry City winger Trent Kone-Doherty.

Carvalho undoubtedly stands as the most eye-catching move there and it will be a relief for Jurgen Klopp to finally get things done and dusted.

Liverpool were close to signing the 19-year-old on transfer deadline day in January but a deal couldn’t be completed in time.

It is no surprise, therefore, that they’ve now moved again to sign him when the next window opens.

If Carvalho does join the Reds this summer then he could be the club’s new Diogo Jota.

Not only are they both fabulous attacking players, but they both honed their skills in the Championship.

The former Wolves man joined the Midlands club when they were attempting to get promoted and it didn’t take long for him to start capturing the imagination.

Jota bagged 17 goals and registered five assists in the English second tier, numbers that Carvalho is coming close to replicating.

The Fulham star has beaten the goalkeeper on eight occasions this term while picking up seven assists too. That has taken his overall tally across senior and youth level for Marco Silva’s charges to a whopping 42 strikes.

He might be young but it’s evident he is blessed with a huge amount of quality and indeed potential.
