Ospreys overrun as Glasgow run riot in Bridgend

Ospreys fell to their first home defeat of the season as Glasgow ran riot in Bridgend to claim a crushing 42-17 victory.

Mark Jones' side had their moments but ultimately Glasgow had far too much class and firepower for the Welsh side to overcome. Tries from Jamie Dobie (twice), Kyle Steyn, Johnny Matthews, Euan Ferrie and Macenzzie Duncan along with 12 points from the boots of Adam Hastings and Dan Lancaster gave Glasgow a bonus point win.

Reuben Morgan-Williams and Luke Morgan scored tries for the Ospreys while Dan Edwards kicked seven points.

The Ospreys made a strong start and were initially awarded a penalty try after their maul drove Glasgow back over their own line.

Andrea Piardi even sent Kyle Rowe to the sin bin but the TMO intervened to point out an act of obstruction by Morgan Morse. Sign up to Inside Welsh rugby on Substack to get exclusive news stories and insight from behind the scenes in Welsh rugby.

As a result the try was disallowed and Rowe's yellow card got overturned.

It was Glasgow who claimed the opening try of the game with some nice interplay between Dobie and Steyn setting the visitors up well on the Ospreys line.

After a series of pick and go's scrum-half Dobie crept over the line for a try which Hastings converted.

But the Ospreys hit back immediately with the driving lineout giving the Welsh club a platform.
