Ospreys claim stunning victory over Glasgow with last-gasp penalty

A last-gasp Jack Walsh penalty sealed a sensational 32-31 bonus point win for the Ospreys over the reigning URC champions Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun.

The Ospreys raced into an early 15-0 lead but Glasgow fought back and thought they had won it with a try from Nathan McBeth and a conversion from Duncan Weir with just one minute remaining. But the Ospreys won a penalty at the breakdown from the restart which gave Walsh a difficult shot at goal which he nailed to claim their first victory in Glasgow since 2016.

Mark Jones' side were outstanding and this victory keeps their hopes of reaching the end of season play-offs very much alive. They scored five tries in total courtesy of Morgan Morse, Kieran Hardy (twice), Sam Parry and Keelan Giles with both Dan Edwards and Walsh contributing five points between them.

Glasgow scored five tries of their own with Jack Mann, Patrick Schickerling (twice), Facundo Cordero and McBeth touching down while Weir kicked four points. The Ospreys made a strong start and claimed a try after four minutes when Morgan Morse powered over the line off the back of a well worked driving lineout.

Jones' side extended their lead and Morse was the architect as he burst clear off the back of a solid scrum before offloading to Hardy who ran in unopposed from 45 metres out. The Ospreys had the bit between their teeth and proceeding to push the Glasgow pack backwards at a rate of knots for Parry to claim their third try off the back of another driving lineout.
