Oscars 2025: When is it on and how to watch in the UK
The Oscars is returning for its 97th ceremony and for the second year running, UK audiences will be able to watch the prestigious awards show at home.
The 96th ceremony proved popular with UK audiences in 2024 as a combined 5.2 million viewers over a seven day period. However, this year is set to be a little different from previous after the devastating effects of the LA fires.
The Academy released a statement that said: "We are devastated by the impact of the fires and the profound losses experienced by so many in our community. The Academy has always been a unifying force within the film industry, and we are committed to standing together in the face of hardship.

They continued: "We also look forward to honouring our frontline workers who have aided with the fires, recognising those impacted, and encouraging people to join the Academy in supporting the relief efforts. We will get through this together and bring a sense of healing to our global film community."
Audiences can enjoy some huge names for the nominees, such as Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for Wicked, Demi Moore for The Substance and Timothée Chalamet for The Complete Unknown.
