One of the biggest sporting events of the year is taking place in the USA this weekend, with millions expected to tune in. The 59th Super Bowl kicks off at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9.

This weekend will mark the 11th time that the Super Bowl has been hosted in New Orleans and the eighth game to be staged at Caesars Superdome, which has a capacity of 83,000 and is the home of New Orleans Saints.

The season began with 32 teams, now only two remain to fight for the Lombardi Trophy - the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Kansas City Chiefs.

Award-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, who won five Grammy's at the recent awards show for his Drake diss track, will perform during the halftime show, marking his first time as the main performer.
