Orta begins Leeds talks for "wonderkid" with an £85m clause, it'd be a massive coup - opinion

Leeds United are interested in a deal to bring Renyer to Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

That’s according to a report by Portuguese publication Record (via SempreMilan), who claim that both Leeds and Benfica have now entered into negotiations with Santos regarding a move for the left-footed right winger.

A further report by SemperMilan.it revealed that, according to their information, the Brazilian side would be willing to part with the former Brazil U17 international for as little as €2m (£1.7m) this summer – with both AC Milan and AFC Fiorentina also believed to be keen on a move for the 19-year-old.

Considering the sheer amount of potential Renyer evidentially possesses, in addition to a number of top-level clubs reported to be interested in the teenager’s signing this summer, should Orta manage to get a deal over the line for the forward ahead of Milan, Benfica and Fiorentina, it would undoubtedly represent a massive coup for the Whites.

Indeed, despite being just 19 years of age, Renyer has already made seven senior appearances for Santos, with his first team debut coming as a 16-year-old back in January 2020 – making him the Brazilian side’s fifth-youngest debutant in their history.
