Organisers set high standard for SFFL Coed League

Organisers of the ongoing SFFL Showtime Coed Flag Football League have set a high standard for the competition holding at Meadow Hall School, Alma Beach Estate, Elegushi, Lekki, Lagos.

Sunday’s games at the event featuring 10 teams were tagged ‘Showtime Sunday,’ and according to the organisers, apart from promoting flag football as a sport, the activities around it are geared toward engaging youths to be more productive through sports.

The ongoing SFFL Showtime Coed Flag Football League has over 50 men and women players, representing different clubs. Spartans still lead the three-week-old league log with 56 points.

Excited by the turn out and outcome of the games so far, SFFL Coed Flag Football League Commissioner, Adejumo Adebare, praised the teams for their efforts, saying the team have been working hard for excellence.

Adebare added that there are concerted efforts to ensure the SFFL Coed Flag Football League gets high standard officiating to add to the glamour of the games.

“The ongoing SFFL Coed Flag Football League, which holds every Sunday, has been entertaining and exciting with teams working hard every match day to win their games,” Adebare said.

He said the organisers are focused on providing the platform for youths to hone their skills in the sport, adding, however, that the awareness of the sport created by the league has been encouraging.

The 10 teams in the league are Titans, Warriors, Dragons, LA Flag, Spartans, Mavericks, Raptors, Outlaws, Panthers and Rebels.
