Organisation engages youth in grassroots soccer for sports development

Avila Naturalle, a leading manufacturer of natural skincare products in Nigeria has taking a fresh approach to promoting youth development and gender
inclusion through the Avila Women’s Cup competion, a grassroot football
tournament to encourage sports development.

The competition, which held in Alimosho area of Lagos, was a vibrant
celebration of female inclusion, talent showcase, empowerment, and
community development.

The President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Avila Naturalle Ltd Mrs.
Temitope Mayegun, said the tournament was organised by Avila Naturalle
management to encourage young women to pursue their dreams and also to
promote the advancement of women’s football in Nigeria, breeding from the
grassroots communities.

She said the competition featured eight female teams from different
communities across adding that Ijemido Football Club, which represented Avila
Foods and Supplement including Tribe Football Club, which represented Avila
Water and drinks eventually, reached the Final at the competition.

She sa2id: “ In what turned out to be a very intense and keenly contested
soccer bout, Ijemido FC won the tournament, beating Tribe FC by three goals
to two”.

“Our efforts were to develop the talents of these female footballers especially at the grassroots
