"Ones that West Ham are actively trying" - Journalist drops exciting update on triple swoop

West Ham United are actively making moves to try and sign three players this summer, according to Ryan Taylor of the Daily Express.

David Moyes has added six permanent additions to his squad so far this summer, as the Irons look ahead to balancing a domestic and potential Europa Conference League campaign.

The Irons are currently working on deals for Spezia and Poland centre-back Jakub Kiwior, Fenerbahçe and Hungary centre-back Attila Szalai, and Club Brugge and Belgium midfielder Hans Vanaken.

Moyes is looking to add numbers to his squad due to the club’s potential participation in the Europa Conference League this season, with the club needing to add more depth across the squad if they want to be successful on both fronts this season.

The transfer of Vanaken seems to be the most important deal of the three with Moyes being reportedly “crazy” about bringing the midfielder to the London Stadium this summer, according to HBVL in Belgium.

And Taylor believes that whilst the club are actively looking at trying to sign the trio, the club have been struggling to progress deals down the line during this transfer window.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Yeah definitely, I think Kiwior, Szalai, and Vanaken are ones that West Ham are actively trying to do at the moment.

“But the kind of situation with West Ham at the moment seems to be they’re not really making any progress on a number of deals.

“We saw the Emerson deal initially collapse, and the Club Brugge lad [Vanaken] seems to be sort of being held in Belgium at the moment, in terms of they don’t want him to go.”
