Onana U-turn, Bayindir call, shock chance - Which Man United goalkeeper should play vs Lyon?

Manchester United are heading into the Europa League quarter-final second leg against Lyon without a solid idea of who will be lining up in goal.

Andre Onana has been the first choice for all of United's big games so far this season, but Ruben Amorim made his decision to drop the Cameroonian after a couple of mistakes in the draw with Lyon last week. In his place stepped Altay Bayindir for his Premier League debut.

However, the Turkish shot-stopper made a mistake himself as United lost 4-1 at St. James' Park, leading to the trust between the club and their goalkeepers at an all-time low. Ahead of Thursday night's massive game at Old Trafford, our writers take a look at who should start for United;

United really do not have much of a choice other than to play Onana on Thursday night. Victory against Arsenal in the FA Cup aside, Bayindir has not performed brilliantly when given the opportunity and that was proven, again, in the defeat to Newcastle.

The hope from a United perspective will be that he has managed to refocus himself after being dropped on Sunday. In truth, he is probably playing for his place next season - despite the Reds being desperate to avoid spending money on goalkeepers this summer.

Goalkeeping has become a forgotten area of concern at United for much of this season. With so many positions needing to be strengthened, it's easy to forget how bad both keepers have been.

Those concerns have been shoved back into the spotlight
