Oluwaseun Adewumi set for Dundee stay as Burnley green light loan transfer extension

Tony Docherty haș confirmed Dundee have struck an agreement with Burnley to keep winger Oluwaseun Adewumi for the second half of the season.

The Austrian under-21 international’s loan is up next month but the Dark Blues boss admitted there is a verbal agreement in place to extend that. Dundee and Burnley have a strategic partnership and the paperwork is set to be put in place over the next week or two. Docherty said: “We are in constant talks with our recruitment team and we are in constant talks with Burnley as well. Adewumi is fine and continuing to play. There hasn’t been any paperwork done on it but we have assurances that Adewumi will be with us. That is fantastic news for us. “You are now seeing Seun is a really talented player.

“There were a lot of really good performances the other night but I think he has grown and grown with each game. I can see the relationship now between him and the fans. I have always said the Dundee fans recognise good players. They are very much behind Seun and there is a brilliant relationship there.
