There were stacks on the agenda, including whether 19-year-old Tim Iroegbunam is ready for Premier League action, while fans have been concerned with Ollie Watkins' body language of late.

AP: I felt sorry for Chambers and Mings, the ball kept coming back. The midfield was non-existent and Watkins' struggles continued up top winning 4/23 duels. As for youngsters, there's only Carney Chukwuemeka I can see coming in. I'd have liked Kesler-Hayden to have stuck around but that's not the case. It's too early for Ireogbunam.

AP: He'll be fuming as we know and that team debrief would have been interesting this morning. Changes for Watford? Yes. Douglas Luiz, Cash, McGinn, Watkins could all come out; A Young, Sanson, Chukwuemeka, Ings could come in.

AP: You're not alone seeing Leon Bailey being given a go... Up top, that's interesting. He might be a little slight to play the No.9 role but it's certainly an option. As for Ireogbunam, very classy and nice on the eye, like a Rolls-Royce but very inexperienced and he'll be gradually eased into PL fixtures. It just feels like there's nothing to play for now and the players are struggling.

AP: I think there's an element of needing to go back to basics. Sometimes you've got to win ugly if you can and get over the line. The boss had two weeks to prepare for Leeds and Newcastle and the performances we've seen have been alarming - Sunday's and the manner of it really surprised Gerrard. A win against winless-in-12 Watford should ease
