Oleksandr Zinchenko: Arsenal star proved he has ice in his veins vs Bournemouth

Oleksandr Zinchenko will very likely go down as one of the best signings from this summer’s transfer window.

Arsenal spent £32 million to bring Ukraine’s captain to north London from Manchester City and the move is already paying dividends.

Zinchenko has started all three of Arsenal’s Premier League matches in 2022/23 thus far and has barely put a foot wrong as of yet.

The 25-year-old assisted Gabriel Martinelli’s goal in the 2-0 victory away at Crystal Palace, while Leicester City couldn’t contain him in the final third as the Gunners romped to a 4-2 win.

And against Bournemouth on Saturday evening, Zinchenko was exemplary once again, particularly in the first half of proceedings.

Arsenal were utterly dominant in the opening 45 minutes, with their summer signing recovering possession a whopping nine times – four more times than any other player on the pitch.
