Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has 'rejected multiple job offers' following Man Utd sacking

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rejected "various" offers since he was sacked as manager of Manchester United in November, it's been claimed.

The Norwegian coach left Old Trafford after a poor start to the season. United lost five of their first 12 Premier League games, yet it was the manner of some of those defeats that led to his downfall - such as the 5-0 home loss to bitter rivals Liverpool.

Solskjaer's final game in charge was a 4-1 defeat to Watford at Vicarage Road. That ended his three-year reign, an era that saw United fail to win silverware. The closest they came was in May 2021, when they lost the Europa League final on penalties to Villarreal.

Despite a disappointing end to Solskjaer's time at Old Trafford, several clubs - including some in the Premier League - have offered him a job. That's according to Norwegian outlet Verdens Gang, who insist their information comes from an "informed team".

Solskjaer is believed to be interested in a return to management, although now is not the right time. It's unclear which clubs have made the 49-year-old an offer and what position each respective proposal entails.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer has been linked with the vacant position at Burnley. Previous boss Sean Dyche was sacked last month but his temporary replacement Mike Jackson has done well - picking up 10 points from four games.

Solskjaer has spent time with his family since his Old Trafford exit. He attended a United Women's game in January to watch his daughter Karna Solskjaer make her debut for the club in the FA Cup. The 19-year-old is yet to appear in the Women's Super League.
