Okay Yokuslu issues message to West Brom supporters after sealing Baggies switch

New West Bromwich Albion signing Okay Yokuslu has taken to Twitter to express his excitement at returning to The Hawthorns, posting on the social media platform shortly after his arrival was announced.

The 28-year-old previously looked as though he would be heading elsewhere this summer after leaving Celta Vigo, with manager Steve Bruce saying earlier this month that he believed a deal wasn’t likely to materialise.

However, following the midfielder’s willingness to lower his wage demands, he became their top midfield target over Leicester City’s Hamza Choudhury with the Baggies managing to wrap up a deal for his services fairly quickly.

It was reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano yesterday evening that he had undergone a medical and put pen to paper on a contract – and were now just waiting for his work permit to be approved before this deal could be finalised.

His arrival was confirmed earlier this morning, signing a three-year contract as he looks set to stay at The Hawthorns for a much longer period than he did during the second half of the 2020/21 campaign when he joined on loan.

And tweeting a message to the second-tier side’s supporters after his arrival was confirmed, he expressed his excitement at returning to a place where he quite clearly had unfinished business.

He posted: “Excited to be coming home.”
