Arsenal player pens message to supporters after sealing Blackpool move

Arsenal loanee Charlie Patino has told fans he is “delighted” to sign for Blackpool for 2022/23 and “can’t wait to get started” at the Championship club. 

The Seasiders confirmed yesterday that Patino had joined the club on a season-long loan deal from the Gunners.

Blackpool boss labelled the 18-year-old “one of the best midfielders in his age group” and talked up the North West club’s strong relationship with Arsenal.

Patino has been quick to reach out to supporters directly via Twitter and pen a message that outlined how excited he was about the move.

Appleton has a track record of helping talented young players thrive on loan – having helped the likes of Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, Manchester City’s Morgan Rogers, and West Bromwich Albion’s Alex Palmer thrive while he was in charge at Lincoln City.

Patino will be hoping the Blackpool boss can have the same impact on his career and arrives at Bloomfield Road with a fairly big reputation among Gunners supporters despite making just two senior appearances for the club.
