'Oh my word' - Liverpool fans pile in as Steven Gerrard wows on Anfield return against Barcelona
Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard has the boots back on this weekend at Anfield for a Liverpool legends side against Barcelona.
The former Reds captain was fouled early in the first half and, unsurprisingly, stepped up to convert the penalty into the bottom right corner past Jesús Angoy in the Barcelona goal. Since that strike, Gerrard is now being urged to shoot when on the ball anywhere near the visitors' 18-yard box.
It is the 41-year-old's overall display that is catching the eye, though. Here is a selection of social media reaction from Liverpool fans watching Gerrard's performance back at Anfield.
