Aston Villa vs Liverpool and two other games confirmed as Steven Gerrard's side set for TV

Three Aston Villa fixtures have had their dates confirmed as Steven Gerrard's side get set for the run-in.

The final batch of Premier League games have been penciled in as the 2021-22 season reaches its conclusion. Villa will host Liverpool on Tuesday, May 10, at 8pm with the game confirmed for a live broadcast on Sky Sports.

The postponed home clash with Burnley, which was due to be played before Christmas but was called off because of a coronavirus outbreak, will be played in the final week of the season on Thursday, May 19 (8pm). The game against Crystal Palace has also been shifted with the home visit of Patrick Vieria's men set for 2pm on Sunday, May 15, though that may yet get moved because of the Londoners' potential FA Cup final participation that weekend.

Villa kick off their final seven matches of the season when they play Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (5.30pm) and they will be hoping to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out. Villa are now on a run of three straight losses having also been beaten by Arsenal and West Ham United.

Gerrard was furious with his players after the Wolves game and fired a warning at them ahead of the summer transfer window. "We have only got ourselves to blame," he said.

"At the moment we're looking like a 45-minute team and that's on me," he said. "I've got to fix it and I will fix it. The players in the building have to help me fix it now, if not we will get players in who will help me fix it.
