Oasis fans frustrated as hundreds of X accounts advertise 'tickets for resale'

Genuine Oasis fans are becoming frustrated as hundreds of social media accounts are offering 'tickets for resale'. X, the platform previously known as Twitter, has seen hundreds of posts this morning (September 14) from accounts claiming to offer tickets.

It comes on the day that thousands of Oasis fans will be trying for tickets to the two additional Wembley Stadium shows announced for next September 27 and 28. Three 90-minute ballots are open on Ticketmaster for fans who were sent a code by Oasis.

The scramble for Oasis tickets has been a huge source of controversy in the past few weeks. Ticket websites struggled to cope with the millions of fans who poured online for tickets on August 31.

And many who endured the queue for hours on Ticketmaster were left facing the option of buying a ticket at more than twice the cost, thanks to dynamic pricing. Today's ballot was announced as a way to improve the ticket-buying process for genuine fans.

But on the same day, X accounts are claiming to be selling tickets for Oasis 'Live 25 in their droves. The accounts all list details for the event they are supposedly selling tickets for, before asking X users to 'DM' them - meaning to send a direct message - if they are interested.

The Manchester Evening News has viewed dozens of X profiles which are claiming to sell the tickets online today. Some accounts have posted multiple times this morning, claiming to sell the tickets.

Some of the accounts appear to be have been used sporadically prior to this morning. One X user complaining about the issue wrote: "Missed out both ballots, missed out Ticketmaster fiasco.
