Oasis confirm ticket ballot details for new Wembley dates as fans to get emails

Oasis have revealed the full details of how fans can get hold of tickets for their two extra shows at Wembley Stadium.

Tickets for the band's original 17 date tour sold out last week, with many fans left disgruntled at missing out having waited in online queues for hours.

More than 10 million fans tried to buy tickets last Saturday to see Liam and Noel Gallagher performing together again for the first time in 16 years on a UK and Ireland tour, including five nights at Manchester's Heaton Park. The band then revealed they would play two more nights at Wembley Stadium, on September 27 and September 28.

Tonight, the band have provided more details about how the tickets will be sold. Fans who logged in to their Ticketmaster account last week to try and buy tickets are expected to receive an email overnight, which will allow them to register for access to a ballot.

Fans who enter the ballot may then receive a code to allow them to buy tickets for the extra shows. They have been warned that entry to the ballot does not guarantee a code for tickets. "Invitations to enter the private ballot will be sent overnight tonight (Saturday) to eligible fans we have been able to identify," a statement on the band's social media accounts said.

"If you signed into your Ticketmaster UK account on Saturday, 31st August, and were able to join a queue for a specific show, but didn't get a ticket - then you may be eligible to take part and will receive an email on how to register for the ballot.

"Keep an eye on the inbox associated with your Ticketmaster account, and don't forget to check your junk mail. Once successfully registered, you will be entered
