Nottingham Forest fans ‘starting to dream’ after Blackpool win

Nottingham Forest fans have given their reaction to a big win on the coast as Steve Cooper’s men climb into the Championship play-off places.

The Reds dominated the game from start to finish against Blackpool with goals from Philip Zinckernagel, Brennan Johnson (x2) and Sam Surridge giving them three points. Callum Connolly did get a consolation goal back for the Seasiders in the 89th minute but it was a comfortable afternoon for Steve Cooper’s side.

The win moves Forest up to fifth place in the Championship table ahead of the 3pm kick offs. The Reds also have at least one game in hand over the teams around them in the table, meaning the three points could be key in a top six finish at the end of the season.

Following the full-time whistle, Forest fans took to social media to give their immediate reaction to the result and the performance. Here is just some of what they had to say.

: Killed the game in the first half, great 3 points & increased our GD which could be crucial later.

Good to see Grabban get minutes & huge that McKenna is back already! Business end of the season & we look good if I do say myself.

I’m starting to dream

: What a result. What a performance #nffc

: Lads that was absolutely brilliant #NFFC

: That was a superb performance at a difficult ground .. we really are very good side

: Great performance, especially that first half. Solid from McKenna, capped off with an assist! Good to see Grabban back and Surridge getting a goal. Brilliant brace from Brennan too

: Perfect away day that. Made a tough game on paper, look easy. Johnson’s 2 finishes, superb but special mention to Figs & Colback today who not playing much/against a tricky right flank, thought were superb amongst everyone giving it
