Nottingham Forest fans sent police warning and Wembley ticket update

Nottingham Forest fans have been warned against trying to buy tickets in the Huddersfield Town end for Sunday's Championship play-off final.

The Reds are looking to end their 23-year exile from the Premier League this weekend and will do so with around 36,000 supporters at Wembley after the clubs' allocation was sold out on Tuesday. NottinghamshireLive understands that Forest have requested further allocation, however, it is fully expected no more will be made available.

Tickets have been selling out fast since Brice Samba's heroics in the semi-final victory over Sheffield United, with demand surpassing supply at the City Ground. Despite the sell-out, Huddersfield were yet to sell out their allocation at the time of writing.

Following the Reds' ticket announcement, PC Simon Travell, dedicated Football Officer for Nottingham Forest FC, issued a warning to Forest fans. "I have been asked to remind #NFFC fans that those purchasing Huddersfield Town tickets for Wembley run this risk of being identified and ejected. There will be no option to relocate," he tweeted from the NottsPolice Football account.

"Forest fans may only get an allocation of further tickets if Huddersfield fail to sell."

Sunday will see Forest participate in a play-off final for the first time in their history. They previously came up short in 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2011 play-off campaigns.
