Nottingham Forest 1-1 Man City highlights after late Wood goal cancels out Bernardo opener

Manchester City have thrown away two points and handed the momentum in the title race back to Arsenal.

City knew they had to win against Nottingham Forest on Saturday to take back top spot after Arsenal twice came from behind to pick up all three points against Aston Villa in the early kick-off to leapfrog them.

Things looked to be going to plan as Pep Guardiola's side absolutely dominated the match. They enjoyed 86 per cent possession in the second half and eventually took the lead through Bernardo Silva.

However, Erling Haaland, Aymeric Laporte, Rodri and others missed a flurry of great chances to extend the lead in the second half and the inevitable equaliser eventually came to pass.

City were sucker-punched late on as Chris Wood levelled the game with Forest's only shot on target. A bitterly disappointing afternoon and City will now have to dust themselves off ahead of facing RB Leipzig on Wednesday.
