Norris mixes five rivals to form ultimate F1 driver
McLaren’s Lando Norris was asked by a fan for the five drivers who he would combine to make one ultimate Formula 1 driver.
There are many great drivers around the world who never feature on the Formula 1 grid, with the field right now arguably the most competitive that it has been for many years.
Norris is among a group of younger drivers considered future stars of the sport, looking to join the likes of Max Verstappen, who still only aged 24, is already a Formula 1 World Champion, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, also 24, has put himself in a great position to also achieve that honour for the first time in 2022.
George Russell, Pierre Gasly and Carlos Sainz are also in the conversation for a very bright future in the sport, while Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and Sebastian Vettel between them boast proven success in the form of a combined 13 World Championships.
Hamilton and Alonso are looking to push Mercedes and Alpine respectively into title contention.
So, out of all the drivers mentioned, four made Norris’ cut, but there was no place in there for Leclerc.
Instead, his fifth and final pick to create the one super F1 driver, was probably not someone who would have come to mind instantly.
