No Seamus Coleman included as Stephen Kenny names squad for Netherlands and New Zealand

Stephen Kenny has named a settled squad for the final Euro 2024 qualifier away to the Netherlands and friendly with New Zealand (Both live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player).

For potentially his final squad selection as Republic of Ireland manager Kenny has resisted the temptation to recall Seamus Coleman, with the captain having made a number of appearances for the Everton Under-21s.

In-form Blackburn duo of Sammie Szmodics and Andrew Moran are also not included, with the latter - on loan at Rovers from Brighton - likely to be named in Jim Crawford's Under-21 squad later today.

Championship top-scorer Szmodics has been named in two squads by Kenny previously, but has had to withdraw twice due to injury and personal circumstances.

There is also no sign of Kasey McAteer, the attacker reportedly on the verge of declaring for the Boys in Green has missed four weeks of action for Leicester City due to a hamstring injury.

The retiring James McClean is not named in the squad, but will return for the New Zealand friendly, with the match set to be his 103rd and final international cap.

Troy Parrott receives a recall to the Ireland squad following his impressive form on loan in the Dutch Eredivisie with Excelsior Rotterdam, having scored three goals in eight league appearances this campaign.

The resurgent Aaron Connolly misses out due to a foot injury, with John Egan also ruled out.

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher comes back into the squad following the injury which ruled him out for the qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar in October.

Goalkeepers: Gavin Bazunu (Southampton), Caoimhin Kelleher (Liverpool), Mark Travers (Bournemouth).

Defenders: Matt Doherty (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Festy Ebosele (Udinese), Ryan Manning (Southampton), Liam
