No Man's Sky: Developers putting 'finishing touches' to Switch version

No Man’s Sky is set to come to the Nintendo Switch soon enough.

The game’s developer, Hello Games, are putting the “finishing touches” to the Switch version and it is set to release this summer.

The game’s Switch version was announced in February and had a summer 2022 release date attached to it.

There has been no further update on a formal date for the game’s release but it appears to be on track after the developers updated fans on their work.

A press release was sent out and the developer said, per IGN: “In the background, the rest of our small team have been hard at work putting the finishing touches to, among other things, the Nintendo Switch version and some large upcoming updates.”

No Man’s Sky is set to bring with it the complete version of the game on Switch, as well as all 20 major updates and the latest two: Sentinel and Outlaws.

Sentinel rebooted the game’s weapon system, while the Outlaws update brought with it space pirate missions.

No Man’s Sky has been out on console and PC since 2016 and has received a variety of updates after what ended up being something of a rocky launch.

In February, creator Sean Murray revealed that there are plenty of updates to come, with No Man’s Sky not being anywhere near finished.

The majority of these updates will also come to Switch once the game is released.

He said at the time: “As many updates as we’ve done since launch and as many bucket list items we’ve checked off, our list of things we’re excited about never seems to get any shorter. The team are always coming up with new things that they want to do with the game: new content and features and areas for improvement.
