"No Jhagda Virat Or Gambhir": Delhi Police Takes Note Of Virat Kohli-Gautam Gambhir Hug, Uses It In Campaign

In spite of their past differences, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir hugged it out during the IPL 2024 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Friday. Gambhir, who is a mentor at KKR, approached Kohli for a handshake during a cooling break. After shaking hands, the former India teammates shared a hug. Images and videos of the same went viral on social media. In order to raise awareness for their 'Dial 112' service, Delhi Police shared a hilarious post, featuring Kohli and Gambhir, on social media.

"Kisi bhi problem mein madad ke liye 112 hai taiyaar! Jhagda hua? Dial 112 aur jhagde ko shant karo! Koi bhi jhagda "Virat" ya "Gambhir" nahi," Delhi Police captioned a post.

During the IPL 2023, Gambhir, then a mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, was involved in a heated argument with RCB's Kohli after the latter altercation with Naveen ul Haq.

Coming back to the match, KKR defeated RCB by seven wickets to register back-to-back wins in the tournament.

After KKR won the toss, they opted to field. After losing skipper Faf early, Virat Kohli had a 65-run partnership with Cameron Green (33 in 21 balls, with four boundaries and two sixes) and a 42-run stand with Glenn Maxwell (28 in 19 balls, with three fours and a six). Virat scored 83 not out in 59 balls, with four boundaries and four sixes and took RCB to 182/6 along with Dinesh Karthik (20* in eight balls, with three sixes) in their 20 overs.

Andre Russell (2/29) and Harshit Rana (2/39) were the pick of the bowlers for KKR.
