Nnamdi Ofoborh proves Rangers doubters wrong as 'rollercoaster' return sparks deluge of Ibrox well wishes

Nnamdi Ofoborh has sent a message to his doubters as he returned to football from a 'rollercoaster' journey after over 1000 days out.

The former Rangers midfielder made his first appearance in THREE years as he made his bow for new club Swindon Town last weekend as he looks to kick on and get his career back up and running. Steven Gerrard brought the midfielder to Glasgow after coming through the ranks at Bournemouth and impressing at Wycombe Wanderers in the English lower leagues. However, the move to Govan didn't work out as planned with a heart problem identified soon after his arrival. It meant he didn't make a single appearance for Rangers before his release last summer.

He's now found a new home in English League Two and got off to the ideal start in a 2-1 win over Notts County on Good Friday to put further distance between themselves and the bottom sides in the fight to stay in the EFL. Taking to Instagram following his long-awaited return to the football pitch, Ofoborh wrote: "1,112 days later I prayed three straight years for this. I worked so hard to get back here.

"I don’t really have the words to describe the rollercoaster of a journey I've been on. it’s been surreal. There is no testimony without a test. I never would’ve made it without Jesus Christ. All glory to the most high !

"Thank you to family, friends, doctors and all those working at Swindon Town. I will never forget the support and love i’ve received during this tough time. As for all those who said this day would never arrive, those who could’ve helped and didn’t… I told you my God never fails!"

A host of Ofoborgh's former Rangers colleagues were delighted to see their pal back in action and expressed their delight on his post. Skipper James
