Nine charged after police raid 12 properties in drugs crackdown
Nine people have been charged after police raided 12 properties in a drugs crackdown.
The suspects were detained after officers carried out warrants across Bolton, Bury and Wigan on Wednesday (June 22). The raids were executed as part of Operation Byron - a crackdown into the sale of controlled drugs across the region.
Police said in an update this morning (Friday) that nine people have now been charged. Zulfiqar Khan, 38, of Lorne Street, Bolton, Mohammed Amjad, 27, of Green Lane, Bolton, Haroon Rashid, 19, of Loxham Street, Bolton, Yasir Mahmood, 37, of Andrew Street, Bury and Tahir Ilyas, 37, of Moorfield Chase, Bolton, have all been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Nathan Millward, 42, of Seathwaite Road, Bolton, Jacqueline Harmer, 51, of Winifred Road, Bolton, Jason Bennett, 33, of Sutherland Road, Wigan and David Hall, 38, of Stewart Road, Wigan, have also been charged with conspiracy to supply class A.
All nine have been remanded into custody. They are due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today.
