Nine African countries set for 2023 Freestyle Connect contest

A total of 16 athletes from nine African countries will take part in the 2023 Freestyle Connect Africa Football Tournament sponsored by Feet ‘N’ Tricks.
The event, which holds on November 14, in Cairo, Egypt, is being organised in partnership with the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA), and would be showcased at the Intra Africa Trade fair (IATF2023).
The chairman of Feet ‘N’ Tricks, Valentine Ozigbo, disclosed that AFREXIMBANK has agreed to sponsor the tournament.
“We are proud that AFREXIMBANK’s sponsorship and our partnership with the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA) elevate the standards of freestyle football in Africa.”
While noting that Feet ‘N’ Tricks is excited to showcase African talent on such a prestigious platform as WFFA, Ozigbo declared: “We are thrilled to announce, in addition, that the sensational Iya Traoré, a Guinness World Record-holding freestyler, will bring his awe-inspiring football artistry to Freestyle Connect Africa 2023, all the way from the vibrant streets of Paris.
Ozigbo added that DLK Clothing Signatures, an internationally acclaimed garment and footwear manufacturing company based in Abuja, Nigeria, serves as a co-sponsor for the Freestyle Connect Africa 2023 tournament.
On his part, the Co-Founder and Head of Partnerships at WFFA, Daniel Wood, remarked that Freestyle football is not just a sport, adding, “it’s an art, a culture, and a language that unites us all.
