Nigeria to host Confed Cup final, Orlando Pirates stay in the hunt
Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria will host the 2021/22 Confederation Cup final, CAF announced on Wednesday.
The winner-take-all game will be played on 20 May.
Orlando Pirates continue to make good progress in the competition and a second-leg semi-final clash with Al Ahly Tripoli is what stands in the way of them and a shot at the final (the Buccaneers have a 2-0 advantage before the rematch on Sunday).
TP Mazembe and RS Berkane are the other teams in a tussle. TP Mazembe will travel to Morocco with a 1-0 goal advantage over Sunday's hosts.
According to CAF, it will be the first intercontinental major cup final to be hosted at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Details on kick-off time will be confirmed closer to the time.
Pirates kick-off at 18:00, with the later game starting at 22:00.
