Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe has delivered a determined message after returning to club training as he looks to work his way back into Mikel Arteta's plans.

Pepe has appeared just nine times in the Premier League this season and has provided just one assist as Arteta looks elsewhere for attacking inspiration.

In his last two top-flight appearances, the 26-year-old has played just 19 minutes of football and rumours had started to swirl that his future could lie elsewhere.

During the January transfer window, it was reported that Arsenal were willing to let Pepe leave on deadline day, but no deal could be agreed in time.

Clubs from Germany, Italy and Spain were said to be interested in signing the Gunners' record signing and it makes it likely a deal could be struck in the summer.

But Pepe is not giving up.

On Tuesday evening, he took to Instagram to share an update, posting a motivated, five-word message to his followers.

Writing alongside a photograph of himself in training, Pepe wrote: "Success starts with self discipline."

Despite his disappointing club form, Pepe was one of Ivory Coast's stand out players at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

He found the net twice and provided one assist, despite bowing out on penalties to Egypt in the last-16, scoring against Sierra Leone and Algeria.
