Nicolas Kuhn transfer rumour gets Celtic fans baulking as 'asking price' doesn't compute with punters who know his worth

Nicolas Kuhn is reportedly on the radar of several clubs in the English Premier League - but Celtic fans won't be too convinced by the proposed asking price.

The wide man has made an electric start to the season and took his tally to seven goals and 10 assists in 15 appearances in all competitions by getting on the scoresheet in Saturday's 6-0 demolition job of Aberdeen in the semi-final of thePremier Sports Cup. Kuhn took some time in getting up to speed after his £3million arrival from Rapid Vienna last January but has now firmly cemented himself as the first choice right winger in Brendan Rodgers' side.

However, Sky Germany claim that the former Bayern Munich youngster's exploits have caught the eye of a number of teams in England's top-flight and that interest in the winger is likely to ramp up next summer. But Hoops fans may be suspicious of Kuhn's reported asking price, with the source indicating that Celtic value him at €10million (£8.4million). While Kuhn - who is under contract at the club until 2029 - has yet to play a full season at Parkhead, Celtic supporters will hope that he can go onto emulate the success that Portuguese winger Jota had in Glasgow's East End.

Jota was initially snapped up by the then Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou on a season-long loan deal from Benfica, but joined the Premiership champions on a permanent deal worth £6.5million after an impressive debut season with the club. Jota's stunning displays in his second and final season at Celtic ultimately saw him land a big money move to Saudi Arabia, with Al-Ittihad forking out a club-record fee of £25million to bring the ex Portugal youth international to the Middle East.

Jota has since moved back to Europe in a €10million (£8.4million) switch
