Nicolas Kuhn told key Celtic trait he can upgrade as buoyant Brendan Rodgers tells £3m man 'we can help you'

Brendan Rodgers has named the one key area in Nicolas Kuhn's game he believes he can help improve.

The Celtic boss swooped to land the winger in a £3million deal from Rapid Vienna to kick off his January recruitment drive. He could yet move to land further additions in the window with key positions like left-back and striker touted but after getting a deal for the former Bayern Munich and Ajax man over the line, the Hoops gaffer couldn't hide his delight.

He has spoke up the creative side of his game and what he feels he can bring to the table at the Scottish champions. He's previously had experiences of playing in the No.10 or striker positions but it is not somewhere Rodgers sees him as he outlined his main thought process behind the new arrival and how he plans to utilise him in his side for the second half of the season and beyond after putting pen to paper on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

Speaking to Celtic TV, he said: "If you look at his actual profile it suits perfectly to how we play, he is a player that is very dynamic, he's very quick and we feel we can add goals to his game. That is the area he can improve on. He's very creative. He likes to create and score but we feel we can help him with his numbers. He's had some really good experiences as a young player at some big clubs but he's now stepping out into his own light.

"He's done very well at Rapid and now comes to ourselves and hopefully continue with that development cycle. I am really excited about him. He fits the profile of our team very well and we hope we can develop him over the coming years."
