Nico Raskin adds to Rangers injury woes as emotional midfielder stretchered off against Hearts

Nico Raskin has added to Rangers injury pile-on by being stretchered off at Ibrox.

It was not the scenes the irked crowd in Govan wanted to see as the key midfielder went down in the second half against Hearts with what looked like an ankle injury. But perhaps more concerning for new Rangers boss Philippe Clement will be the growing number of players on the treatment table, an issue his predecessor Michael Beale found himself inundated with, shown by the likes of Kemar Roofe and Tom Lawrence's long-term absences.

But now the 22-year-old could provide his fellow countryman Clement with a real dilemma heading in to next weekend's Viaplay Cup semi-final with Hearts. Raskin looked visibly distressed as he could not leave the sodden Ibrox field of his own accord, with Scott Wright having to join the action.

Ryan Jack and Jose Cifuentes were named on the bench, with both recently returning from knocks.
