Nick Kyrgios blames ball boy's running style for losing point

Nick Kyrgios has accused a ball kid of putting him off during his match against Hubert Hurkacz.

Over the years, Kyrgios has had several clashes with umpires as well as fans when things have not gone his way.

With that being said, yesterday, he decided to take his anger out on somebody else.

During the Halle Open semi-final showdown with Hubert Hurkacz, Kyrgios lashed out at a ball kid.

Soon after he served, Kyrgios lost the point and then raised his concern with the ball kid.

En route to the semi-final stage, Kyrgios defeated the likes of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Pablo Carreno Busta.

In the end, Hurkacz went on to win the match against Kyrgios 4-6, 7-6, 7-6. He will now face Daniil Medvedev in the final.

With Wimbledon due to get underway later this month, a win over Hurkacz could have secured the Australian a seed in the draw for tennis’ biggest competition.

In preparation for Wimbledon, Kyrgios will compete in the Mallorca Open as a warm-up event before he returns to England.

He is due to go head to head against Laslo Đere tomorrow.

Recently, during the Halle Open, Kyrgios took a swipe at the European tennis players, saying: “European players can play clay court all year around and finish like 70 in the world. And they don’t even have to leave.
