But the stats only tell half the story when it comes to Neymar, because most of the magic he produces out on the pitch cannot be reduced to mere figures on a webpage.

The former Barcelona hero is one of the most skilful players in history, regularly embarrassing opponents with tricks, flicks and other garish moves.

That was certainly the case when PSG took on Belgian second-tier side Waasland-Beveren in a friendly back in 2020 after the Ligue 1 season had been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The French team ran out 7-0 winners at the Parc Des Princes and during the match, Neymar performed some quite outrageous skills by the touchline.
