Newcastle United supporters react as Jurgen Klopp beats Eddie Howe to Manager of the Year award
Newcastle United fans believe Eddie Howe has been "robbed" of the Premier League's Manager of the Season award which was handed out to Jurgen Klopp on Tuesday evening.
Klopp guided Liverpool to a second place finish, narrowly missing out on the Premier League to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, who won the title on the final day of the season with a 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
Howe was named on the five man shortlist alongside Klopp, Guardiola, Brentford's Thomas Frank and Crystal Palace's Patrick Vieira.
When Howe arrived following Steve Bruce's exit, Newcastle sat amongst the relegation favourites. They failed to win one of their first 14 games in the Premier League and did not register a win until December when they beat Burnley 1-0.
A magnificent 2022 saw Newcastle soar up the Premier League table to eventually finish 11th - an astonishing feat, given their woeful start.
However, what might have counted against Howe was the fact he arrived on Tyneside in November and did not oversee the entire Premier League campaign.
But despite this, Newcastle fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts on the news...
Even talkSPORT's Jamie O'Hara reckons Howe had a better case for winning the award over Klopp...
