Newcastle supporters will love what 27 y/o was spotted doing at full-time

Newcastle United supporters will be buzzing with a video of Jacob Murphy after the Magpies picked up three points on Saturday.

Eddie Howe’s side put in a solid performance at the weekend, which saw them beat a side that started the day inside the top 10 of the Premier League for the first time this season – and saw them move seven points clear of the bottom three.

What was even more impressive was that for the second game in a row, Newcastle did it without dangerman Allan Saint-Maximin, with Jacob Murphy playing a pivotal role in the game’s opening goal on Saturday.

It will have been an amazing feeling for Murphy being part of a Newcastle side that are eight games unbeaten considering that he’s a boyhood Magpies fan, and that shone through after the full-time whistle when he was videoed singing along with the Newcastle faithful during a lap of appreciation.

TIF Thoughts on Jacob Murphy…

It’s been an interesting time on Tyneside for Murphy, who was brought in for just over £10m but has been shipped out on loan into the Championship twice, so to see him singing along with the crowd shows he likely knows how much winning and putting in 100% means to the supporters more than other players.

When Saint-Maximin is fit, he could come back into the starting lineup given Newcastle have three away games in seven days and the Frenchman is one of their most dangerous players with five goals and three assists, but Murphy has not done himself any harm these last few weeks and has proved to be a more than useful squad player.
