Newcastle: Howe 'will try to unleash' £80m duo at St James' Park

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe may try to include both Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson in the same starting line-up in the near future, believes journalist Dean Jones.

The former joined the Tyneside outfit from Real Sociedad in a £60m deal (via BBC Sport) during the summer, but Jones does not think that necessarily spells the end of the latter’s career at St James’ Park.

Both players are capable goalscorers, so you would not say no to using them together when chasing an equaliser or winner in the second half.

Isak was not at his best last season, scoring just six goals in La Liga, but the campaign prior he was quite prolific.

In 34 appearances, the Sweden international found the back of the net 17 times to help Real Sociedad finish fifth.
