Newcastle are ‘talking’ to Lyon playmaker over potential transfer
Newcastle United are reportedly ‘talking’ to Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta ahead of a potential summer transfer.
This is according to the former Magpies and Lyon defender Oliver Bernard, who has likened the playmaker to winter signing Bruno Guimaraes.

Paqueta has been linked with the Premier League club ever since they were taken over by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund in October.
Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested with the Londoners’ technical director Edu reportedly ‘leading the charge’ to bring the 24-year-old to the Emirates.
Speaking to Newcastle Fans TV (via the Chronicle), the Magpies’ former player Bernard says ‘he knows Newcastle are talking’ to Paqueta’s representatives.
“I’ve got a really good feeling about Paqueta,” the Frenchman said. “He could be on his way. Once you get one, you get them all. To be honest, it’s a snowball for me. I’d love that, and I know they’re talking so it looks good.
see you soon, @LucasPaqueta97?
