New Titans CB L'Jarius Sneed - 'Nothing wrong with my knees' - ESPN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Titans jumped at the opportunity to acquire cornerback L'Jarius Sneed from the Chiefs late last month.

Sneed had other potential suitors, one of which was reportedly the Minnesota Vikings, who backed off due to health concerns. Sneed dismissed any injury concerns when he was introduced by the Titans to the local media on Tuesday.

«Ain't nothing wrong with my knees,» Sneed said. «I had a couple of problems, a banged-up knee before. But I'm good right now.»

Sneed played 98% of the regular-season snaps last season. He said he knows what to do with his knee going forward. Team president Chad Brinker told reporter Paul Kuharsky the Titans were confident in Sneed's long-term health after exchanging information with the Chiefs about his knee.

Tennessee sent a 2025 third-round pick and a 2024 seventh-round pick (No. 221) to Kansas City for Sneed and a seventh-round pick (No. 252) in this year's draft. Tennessee promptly signed Sneed to a four-year, $76 million contract.

The Chiefs placed the franchise tag on Sneed, which came with a $19.8 million salary in 2024. Sneed initially sought a contract that would pay him $22 million annually, which was more than any other cornerback. The veteran cornerback posted 78 tackles and two interceptions last season while taking on the coverage assignment of each teams' top pass-catcher on a weekly basis.

Sneed's new deal will pay him $19 million per season, but it also includes $55 million in guaranteed money.

«I feel like I deserve to be the highest-paid off of my season I had last year,» Sneed said. «Things worked out for me and for my family and for the organization, the Tennessee Titans.»
