New mum Janette Manrara shows post-baby body amid problem in 'painful' recovery as fans offer advice

Jannette Manrara has shared how she's having to take medication after encountering a problem following the birth of her first child. The new mum has been sharing little updates on social media days after welcoming her daughter into the world with her husband Aljaz Skorjanec.

Janette and Aljaz's fans and celebrity pals rushed to share their congratulations over the weekend after the couple announced the arrival of their baby girl after keeping their first child's gender a secret to surprise their family and friends.

The former Strictly Come Dancing stars announced their daughter's arrival on Saturday (July 29). In a post to both of their social media pages, they revealed that they'd named their daughter Lyra Rose Skorjanec and that she was born on Friday (July 28). The black and white photo showed Janette cradling Lyra in her hospital bed while Aljaz leant over them, unable to hide his smile from the camera.

And after heading back home to Cheshire with their baby girl, after ditching life in London earlier this year, Janette shared her first proper update as she shared a video addressing her fans and followers.

Taking to her Instagram Story in her first video speaking to the camera since welcoming Lyra into the world, Janette shared how she'd had a C-section and is now recovering with her husband and baby girl.

"I've just had the loveliest shower, moisturised my face and did all my happy products on my face, lip balm on my lips because they're so dry!" she started by saying cheerily. "But Friday was magical. Lyra was born through a C-section and it was amazing!"
