New Man City kits near most expensive in Premier League this season
The Premier League is edging closer and Manchester City fans will be eager to get their hands on the club's latest shirts as they kick-off against Burnley on Friday, August 11.
It's not been an easy time for football fans financially. Along with the price of travelling to and from games as well as match tickets, the cost of living crisis has been yet another dent to the wallet, and now they can add the rising cost of replica shirts to their long list of expenses. The average price for a standard adult replica top has increased by an average of 12 per cent across the division compared to last season, although junior tops fare slightly better at an average of nine per cent.
The treble winners are charging fans £75 for a standard adult home shirt, while the ‘authentic’ kit, the shirt that is made to exact player specifications, comes in at £110. Even the junior replica kit will cost £60 this year, as much as many clubs charge for an adult kit.

This year’s kit is also £5 more expensive than last season's, representing an increase of seven per cent on last year’s cost. City's kits are not the most expensive replicas in the league, though. Both North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham charge £80 for an adult shirt, as do Manchester United and Fulham. Spurs however charge even more for their version of their ‘authentic’ jersey, at £125, while City’s £110 offering is matched by both Arsenal and United.
Other clubs offering ‘authentic’ versions of their kits at higher prices than the standard replica shirt include Liverpool (£114.95), Aston Villa (£115), Wolves (£115) and Crystal Palace (£70). In terms of price increases,
